The Al-Dalati Family: the website and the manzul (family house).
Society has always been formed of several circles: starting with the individual, encompassed by the circle of the small family, which in turn is encompassed by the large family, then by the town or city, and ultimately by the homeland.
Today, however, I find that the circle that directly embraces the individual is the website and the family house. It is the family to which one belongs by choice and complete freedom, regardless of his social standing. It is the place where members of this family meet to exchange discussions and conversations on whatever comes to mind—always within the bounds of respect, courtesy, and noble manners. Here, a person finds answers to his doubts if he is confused, solace if he is burdened, relief if he is distressed, and shared joy and congratulations if he is happy.
This family, with its two branches—the website and the manzul—embraces the good among youth, men, women, and young ladies, both younger and older. All of them possess diverse talents and abilities, each according to his or her specialty, interests, and thoughts. Together, they are capable of creativity, generously offering much of their time, effort, and resources to elevate the standing of this family.
This is indeed a wonderful and beautiful thing. But what comes next?
Our family must grow into a truly human family in every sense of the word. Its members should be supported morally and, if possible, materially in their difficult times. Their problems should be addressed and solved whenever possible. Absent members should be inquired about, their well-being ensured, and their reasons for absence explained to the rest of the family (when such reasons can be publicly shared).
Through this, the bonds of connection grow stronger, and the ties of brotherhood and friendship among everyone become more deeply rooted. Thus, our family in both its branches becomes a family united by the spirit and essence of the soul.
God is our guide and protector. Thank you.
