Rami al-Dalati

Background:
Rami al-Dalati, originally from the city of Homs, Syria, was a religious scholar and one of the early figures to join the peaceful popular movement against the Syrian regime.

Involvement in the Opposition:
After being released from detention, he continued his revolutionary activities, providing both civil and military support to the city of Homs. He became a member of the Military Council affiliated with the Free Syrian Army.

Relations with Opposition Factions:
In interviews, he spoke about coordination with other factions, including Jabhat al-Nusra, in battles such as the takeover of Idlib. However, he also emphasized the existence of differences in vision between the groups.

Academic and Research Work:
He served as the Director of the Religious Movements Unit at the Jusoor Center for Studies and participated in research forums discussing the challenges facing the Syrian revolution and opposition.

Death:
Rami al-Dalati passed away in Idlib on August 13, 2018.
