Birth:
Born in Homs, Syria, in 1971.

Education:

• Studied Islamic Sharia at Abu al-Nour University – Faculty of Islamic Da‘wah in Damascus.
• Received a solid grounding in Islamic sciences at the hands of a number of distinguished scholars in Syria, including:
  • Sheikh al-‘Allama Muhammad Junayd (may Allah have mercy on him)
  • Sheikh al-‘Allama Abu al-Su‘ud Abd al-Salam Bismar (may Allah have mercy on him)
  • Sheikh al-‘Allama Zuhair al-Atassi (may Allah preserve him)
  • Sheikh al-‘Allama Isma‘il al-Majdhub
  • Sheikh al-‘Allama Abd al-Wakil Safi
  • Sheikh and Qur’an reciter Akram al-Sufi (may Allah have mercy on him), under whom he memorized the Holy Qur’an
  • As well as many other esteemed scholars, may Allah reward them all.

Work and Da‘wah Activities:

• Serves as preacher (khatib), imam, and teacher at Omar ibn al-Khattab Mosque in Homs.
• Has been teaching in several mosques across Homs since 1990 and continues to do so.
• Former member of the Committee of Imams and Preachers in Homs, where he supervised the preparation of sermons and pulpit curricula for more than 500 imams and preachers.
• Former member of the examination committee for imams and preachers.
• Founded the Islamic website Al-Basa’ir in the year 2000.
