To the Ansar the Loads Travel

(The emigrants arrived to the Ansar, carrying guidance, not gifts… so they were received with love and altruism. Were it not for the Ansar, the meaning of altruism would not have been known… and were it not for the migration, Muhammad would have remained among the Ansar… Before the earthly migration, there was the Ascension to the heavens… and through both, the Muslim learns from the honorable emigrant, peace be upon him, how to migrate across all paths.)

To the Ansar the loads travel, migrating, led by the Messenger. In Yathrib, the palms rejoice, while Mecca mourns in its ruins. Does its full moon depart at night? Ask history about a guide who tells his companion: “O Abu Bakr! Be patient and do not grieve, for our noble third is the wayfinder in the desert, walking with the chosen one along a path that stretches, guiding the way!”

Do you know, or do you not know, along this path, which of you is the guide? Have you not seen? The horizons gaze upon him, and before him trembles the path! The long strides in the desert narrate a radiant journey across skies where the steps of history have walked, beginning a beautiful era.

The Ansar’s concern: their voices proclaim: “O good news! The Messenger has arrived!” The Ansar’s hearts: full of altruism, love, and Muhammad as a guest within them. Their proclamation: “By your Lord, O Muhammad, we do not speak falsely…”

The Ansar: faith, victory, banners, and a long history. Around Muhammad, hearts hovered, horses circled his camel. And now, even if we were heedless, upon our awakening we say: Islam is the religion of God; it remains and its edifice is carried by generation after generation. In faith, we are rooted as palms were planted—migrants and Ansar alike. We will live as a line of love, followed by another line, with the guide and his companions. Our love is deep, and its explanation is an endeavor beyond words.
